PK Movie Review: How it is still relevant in 2024

Blinded by Beliefs

The filmmakers have made an excellent attempt to light one of the most critical issues prevailing in our society: superstitions and illogical beliefs. Scientific temper that our freedom fighters and leaders used to talk about and promote is lost. Rather than reasoning and logical thinking, we are bent towards following our old traditions and customs no matter how much harm they do to us in the present scenario.

We are brainwashed so much to follow age-old beliefs that we fail to comprehend logic. As we fail to realize if it should be practised in our present generation or not. People like Tapaswee Jee exploit these superstitions and win our faiths.

Fake Godmen's in 2024

After we devote ourselves to such “messengers of God”, these people use our trust to make money. They either ask us for donations in the name of God by threatening us or give us unreasonable solutions. With the love and respect we have for the Almighty, these people create an unusual sense of fear in our minds for him. Our fear is what makes their pockets heavy.

If someone questions their teachings, they are shut down with power, violence, and money. Ones who make God according to their comforts. They are the ones who divide the human race. The unrest they create among us gives birth to religious riots and intolerance. Numerous innocent people have lost their precious lives because of the differences they have brought among us. Not only the illiterate but learned ones who have been taught to reason and question lose their conscience and fall in depth of such superstitious holes. Knowingly or unknowingly, we get influenced by these people and end up regretting it later.
